what did you use when you replaced the netting? And did it fit back into that handle? (it sure looks like it would take up less real estate in the boat.)

After two years I bought a standard black Frabil replacement net at Gander Mountain for a few bucks. I forget what size but yes it still fits in the handle.

The zip net looks real similar to the hiber-net from frabill.

Will the netting on these resist the fouled hooks nightmare of Saugers writhing in the netting with a mouth full of 1/4oz blade trebles like my Beckman does?

The hook-proof netting used in Beckman and Frabill nets are very similar. So I’d say… yeah.

Will this hook proof netting fit inside the handles of the Beckman and Frabil, or is it to bulky to fit?

I think James is saying the netting in the new Frabil nets are as good as the Beckmans… big point to me. My previous flat bottom Beckman could tie you up for 15 minutes after a fish got all those trebles fouled in the net.

I don’t know if they would fit in your ZipNet.
