spooling question?

    Major brain fart!!! Getting all the reels relined for the weekend warm up down here.Bait casters off the bottom of the spool or top ?thanks

    Which ever way it comes off the spool without loops. Spool a few yards and drop the rod tip down twards the spool, If you have loops in the line pick up the spool and turn it over. I’d rather use the rod thru the spool and spool it that way. Not always posible if you are alone

    That’s what I do. So I am guessing when people say top, they mean the side with the label?

    At the shop the top means the spool is inserted onto a rod and the line comes off the top.
