If you have been reluctant to fish tournaments because of concerns with “catch & kill” formats or delayed mortality at “catch & release” formats then read on:

For 2004 the Walleye Searchers club has modified it’s club tournament format to give fishermen an option to immediately release any fish over 20”. For these larger fish you can convert the fishes length to its weight using a supplied table. This calculated weight will then be added to your team’s total weight at a traditional weigh-in.

If this change in formats has sparked or renewed your interest in participating in tournaments, then see our website at http://www.walleyesearchers.com or give me a call at 507-289-2884.

You may want to join the club before our first club tournament in April. A good time to join is at the annual 3/15 spring seminar or the 4/5 meeting. For those who can’t make either of these events, membership forms can be printed from our website and mailed to our PO box.
