Have a nice sized bag of pheasant thighs. Looking for an easy recipe for crockpot for the game on Sunday. Tasty pheasant and is as good as it gets.

into the crockpot with 1 can beer and 1 can beef broth,(as long as the liquids cover the meat) slice up an onion. Cook on low for 4-5 hours, drain off liquids, take out tennons and bones. Shredd the meat, add favorite BBQ sauce and a few shakes of liquid smoke, crockpot till company arrives. Serve on buns with all the trimm’ns.

I’ve always boiled them in sea salt water until the meat falls off the bone. Pick the meat out combine carrots, rutebegga wild rice (Cooked) and barley. Boil in 2 boxes of chicken broth. The best soup money CAN’T buy!!! When the cubed rutebegga is done, so is the soup!

Set them on the counter until they get good and rank. Then throw them out into the middle of a field and sit over the pile with your .243. When the coyotes show up, enjoy.

Too many tendons in the legs/thighs.

One can of golden cream of mushroom soup.
    Whole onion diced.
    Pheasant thighs rolled in flour.
    One can of mushrooms.
    Stalk of celery chopped.

Fry thighs until golden brown and crisp. Add the can of mushroom soup and other items and one can of water from mushroom soup can rinseing that out. Put a lid on and cook for 2 hrs over low heat checking and adding water occasionaly. Meanwhile bake some red potatoes. When thier done, cut up, add alot of real butter and add the mushroom gravy over them. Salt and pepper and its the best, try this over fried chicken. My all time favorite for pheasant!

Boil them till cooked. Cool them down and then grind them (and half an onion) in a meat grinder. Mix with Salad dressing, a little sugar, and a dash of liquid smoke. Cool and let sit for a couple days to let the flavor enhance and serve with Club or Ritz crackers. There wont be any left over, but if there is, make a couple sandwiches out of the leftovers for work on Monday.
