What a Drive!

Just got in from picking my daughter up from work. 6 mile round trip drive in this blizzard took me about an hour. Visability very near or at zero. Had to stop on the highway several times until the wind let up so I could see anything.
Thank God I was in the Jeep. Had to bust 3-4′ drifts at very low speed just to get out to the highway. Lost track of where the road was twice and had to back out of the ditch. That is the worst I’ve ever driven in, and I’m one of those rednecks that likes to go out and drive around in snowstorms looking for people who are stuck.
It convinced me that Jeep’s quadratrac is the second best invention ever for getting around in this stuff, next to a snowmobile…

Thanks James! I found out this a.m. they had pulled the plows from the roads due to the zero visability. It appears they where out later in the night, as there is some traffic on the highway near my home, but I have 80′ of driveway with 3-7′ drift the whole way. Maybe I’ll just wait for the sun to move those drifts, my back is telling me not to touch them…
