Boat Cover Prefab or Custom?

I’ve got the basic rig 16.5 foot tiller steer v bottom 78-79 inch beam with bow mount troller so it should be easy to get a quality cover. Right? I need your help. Have you bought and had success with Cabela’s or Overton’s or other brand pre made-measured cover or were you disappointed? I would like to travel with the boat covered. Unfortunately the boat will be stored outside . I’ve had previous boats and always gotten a cover made to fit but this boat size/shape seems like it would make sense.
    Thanks, Paul

Definetely go with custom especially if it’s going to be stored outside. I went through so many pre-fab covers that i could have paid for my custom 3x’s over.
    It’s well worth the investment!

I’m on my second prefab and the only place I go is to LOTW’s once per year…and 30 miles twice for storage.

Much better off with a custom if funds allow.

I don’t know where your located at…assuming WI. Boat Tailors along I-94 in Racine, County does a very nice job with travel covers
