ESPN is reporting that Favre filed and that he is done, but one dude it thinking that if the Vikings don’t solve their QB issues and there is a shortened season, he might get asked to come back…

    Can’t wait!!!

Won’t happen. I don’t think Fraizer is that dumb. At least I sure hope he isn’t.

Pfft! Why take an old, past his prime, broken down former Packer QB, when Matt Hasselbeck will be available.

That sounds like one for another. Maybe try developing a qb. Just sayin…

We have only been trying that for about 20 years now with no sucess.

Hey Pug is there some extra room on the Seahawks bandwagon? I may need to jump on one

I think you are more apt to see McNabb or Young before Hasselbeck. Hell, JaMarcus Russel is out there isn’t he It follows in the washed up QB pattern the Vikes have been following

I’ll believe it when I see it. But with the vikes history of signing players that are past their prime and should have retired…I’m thinking that Jeff Garcia could be there next QB, unless Gus “The Bus” Frerrotte or Mark Brunell aren’t ready to call it quits yet. But seriously I think they will make a run at vick or mcnabb or possibly V. Young. Hope they pick another loser! Go Pack Go!!!

Why wouldn’t he have good cleats? He is a pro athlete, i’m sure he gets them for free ya know.

Vikes managed to squeak a few good seasons out of their washed up QBs over the years – Manning (the original), McMahon, Moon, George, Cunningham, Favre. Of course they’re not football gods like Lynn Dickey, Rich Campbell, TJ Ruble, or Don Majkowski.

    Go Bears!

    In a related story
No one is happier with this news than Randy Moss; who, upon hearing of Favre’s retirement paper filing, responded “Whew, I no longer have to share the throne. I can now resume my rightful place as sole King of the Drama Queens”

Typical, lets see, the packers have a outdoor grass stadium just a couple hrs NORTH of Chi. Yep thats right they would have no idea what cleats to use.

Oh wait, they have a good grass field in GB

Some times you guys really disappoint me. Just saying I’d hate to see the guy get hurt on what it no doubt going to be a very hard ground.

I think the field is heated but the sidelines are frozen rock hard. Ask the Seahawks tight end As far as long grass…..did you see what that field looked like on Sunday?? They could have at least gotten out the green “grass paint”. But maybe then they would have had to raise their income tax another 10%

That’s exactly the play I have been envisioning. Too bad it happened too. Carlson was a big loss for Seattle. Not saying it would have changed the winner. but it didn’t help making the score more respectable.
