After watching last nights “plucking” of the Atlanta Falcons, we should now be able to put to rest the idea that the Thompson/McCarthy regime didn’t know what it was doing when they turned down the “Great Ones” return to the Green & Gold. How many programs could reach this goal, and hopefully higher, with the amount of injuries that the Pack had this year. Look at all the key players that got injured early and look at the talent that replaced them. None of these players were top draft picks. Some of them were “on the street” before they were picked up by the Pack. Granted, every Coach/GM has a “Manderich” or a “Leaf”, but Thompsons talent evaluation is second to none.

As far as the two wins so far, it is poetic justice. In 2003, Atlanta came into Green Bay and took a playoff game from the Pack when they were said to be unbeatable at home. Well, A-Rodg and the boys got revenge big time. They went into Philly and beat the “dog-catcher” QB that ran that offense then went into “their house” completed the job.

It would be great if they continued the march to the big game, but if they don’t, it won’t be the fault of the coach or general managers player evaluation and decision making!!!

I will now step down from my soap box!!!!

I cannot disagree with that as much as I hated to see it happen. Good Luck to the G&G

I will agree with most of that; however, ted has made some bad moves too… a la trading up to get TJ Lang, who cant even play his position and couldn’t beat out the rookie from Iowa. He also let Tauscher go ‘cuz he couldn’t play anymore only to re-sign him early into the next year ‘cuz Lang didn’t pan out. I’m also not sold on this punter he picked up, if you can legitimately call him that. I will give him credit though for drafting and building for years to come with good young players on defense and offense. Hopefully, they will draft Ryan Donahue (P) out of Iowa and let masthay go.
