In general how much speed is gained by each 10hp increase?
I’m sure it will depend on the type of motor ect but in gerneral is there a number.
Example. I have a 17′ mod V with a 1995 40hp on it. It can do about 30mph. If I up the motor to a 60hp what type of speed increase should I expect?
I’ve got a 17 ft Fishawk with a 90 (2001) on it and the best I can do is around 40 mph.
If you go to a 60 play with the prop I cant stress this enough. gettting the most from your motor is all about the prop you have. I gained 5 mph just in changing my prop.
