I have a 520c with the ice pack. Works great! Now I want to hook up the GPS puck. The problem is finding a short cable to hook it up. No luck at GM or FF . The cable in the boat is staying in the boat. Any one out there that can help? Thanks

“The problem is finding a short cable” Been there, you need the 25′ Y-adapter extension cable that you use in your boat, with a 60 Ohm termiator. Nother way around it. I have my 25′ of cable stuck in back of my Genz blue box for mine.

Probably will be 1-800 lowrance. That is the only place I
can finding cables and components to hook two units together.

Made a dash to Thorn Bros, and was fixed up in less than 10 minuets one 2′ Ex Cable #119-88 one TEE Connector#119-79 and one Female Terminator#119-97. Thorn Bros are GREAT !!! They know their stuff. Now I can set the puck on the dash, turn on the 520c (I have the ice pack) and drive to the spots I marked last summer.

I had the 520c on the seat next to me in my suburban and the puck on the dash. It worked great on the way back from Thorn Bros(Blane to Lakeville). I will have it on the ice latter today. I wii post back and let you know how it works out. Or come on over and have a look for yourself! (invite to go fishing! )

    Thanks for the offer!

Are there any other parts involved besides the parts
    you got at TBros?

    Thanks

No other parts. Here is the breakdown of the parts and cost. N2K-T-RD TEE connector. $16.95- Next is the N2KEXT-2RD Extension Cable $22.99- And last is the TR-120F-RD Female Terminator $10.99 This is used to cap off the TEE conector. Here is a picture of the parts.

That’s what I was visualizing. This setup would work
100% with a 60 ohm terminator but with a 120 ohm it may
work intermittently. They discontinued making the 60 ohm
and I think I sold mine to Whiskerkev.

You would have to add another tee and another terminator to
    meet Lowrance specs..
The antenna would connect to the bottom of one tee and the
520 to the bottom of the other. The terminators would
be placed on each end of the now double tee.

Lowrance also sells a cable with built in 120 ohm terminators on each end.
One end would plug into the unit and the other end to the antenna.

    120 ohm In-Line Terminator Cable

Hate to see your GPS quit working when it’s time to find your way off of the lake.
