I was looking at this little unit to put on the boat. Its a nice little step up from the 87x that was on it when I picked her up. Its nothing extraordinary by any means. My question is, does any one own or have used this unit. Will I be happy for the price. The price is the biggest concern. It fits in my budget…A little over the wife’s, but she will deal with it!

That was a very good unit. It’s basically the same as the Lowrance 332C just black/white. The 480 was a very solid graph, and the GPS was pretty good. Should be able to use most Lakemaster/Navionics cards. Not 100% sure about the brand new cards though.

If it was around $300-$350 I think it would be a good deal.

Was thinking of getting a lorance elite 5 to complement my Markum. Seems a bit easier to mount on the sled or dash of the truck. Anyone with any input? Have any other suggested units?
