Trempealeau Area Ice??

    Has anyone been fishing the Trempealeau area marina or lakes? If so how is the ice? Have the itch to get out there BAD, but am skeptical after this recent warm spell.

    Beleive it or not….that last little warm spell shaped the ice up nicley.
    Talked to some guys that caught a few nicer Gills last week on 3rd. Also heard there was a lot of sorting needed to keep the few nicer ones.

    Was out there friday. Plenty of ice. Is slick and could use an inch or two of snow for traction. Plenty of little bait stealers and was able to bring home a few for the pan. I think like most other places, the warm weather and added O2 from runoff got them biting good for a couple days.

    Thanks allot for the info guys… I’ll send a report as to how I do when I get there..but as for now with the wind howling, I’ll wath the badgers and then I’m off to Green Bay tomorrow to root for dem Packers!!

    I was out yesterday morning and there is plenty of ice and plenty of 4 wheelers running around on the lakes. As everybody else says yes a lot of small fish but there are some nice fish out there.
