Try this on. When I went to settle up with the insurance folks, both companies declared it a total loss. MY company offered me $5500 for it. His insurance company offered me $7100. Now, I’m not blond, but I can’t for the life of me see they can reasonably be that far apart. I’m currently in the hunt for a new insurance company. Good thing this accident wasn’t my fault.

New truck is a Ford F250 Superduty 4X4 extended cab short box with the 7.3L Powerstroke diesel. That should have plenty of moxie to pull my 5th wheel and boat.

Good luck dealing with them. Negotiate your deal and then ask what they want for the truck to sell it back to you as is. Then part the thing out yourself. Haul the carcass to the scrap yard.

Power certainly will never be a issue with that new truck!!

I’m wondering that maybe if you sign off with the other ins co, they can totally wash their hands of you for later claims of either physical or medical damage.

Welcome to the smoke-n-rattle club. Other than the price of fuel I really enjoy the extra oomph a diesel has to offer jerr

    Interesting.

I recently left my insurance company when they told me I couldn’t use 30 year shingles on my roof – I was supposed to use 25 (The 30 were on sale and actually cheaper than the 25’s).

Adjuster was so stupid that he couldn’t even think past what he was arguing. Must have been reading from the claims manual.

Left the agent, too. When he told me he was in the dark about my claim.

WTF? What ever happened to customer service and doing what is right?

Still fighting with them on the claim.

    No longer have my business.

    Dog.

Find a good Independent Agent that can shop companies for you.Ask people you would use for insurance repairs what companies work well with them to put you back in shape after a loss. Also tell agent what you want.Good treatment after a loss or cheapest rates.Usually not the same company but you may be supprised.I have several policies with the same agent for several years.A good agent can keep a eye on price and how companies are performing.
