After bringing home my new toy yesterday, I am fairly certain it will not snow any more this winter. Oh well, it was worth the money

looks like you can make a quick run through the dog’s favorite poop pile and throw it all over the fence and let the neighbors thank you for the free fertilizer.

That trick doesn’t work. Now it just means you need to snowblow all the neighbors driveways after each storm.

I hope you are right. Although I gotta believe you’ll get to use the new toy soon.

Nope. That is the one with the infared sensors and cameras that does your driveway for you. Those handles and levers are just for looks.

If that was the case, I wouldn’t have needed one of my own

It only happens when you have the biggest baddest snowblower on the block….congrats on the new toy!!!

I have a 9.5hp troybuilt….I routinely help a couple of my neighbors because one doesn’t even have a snowblower and the other has more of a snow tosser.

I have a neighbor who pulls out the leaf blower on occasion….

Looks like a 8hp at least???

I’ve had the 8hp Ariens for about 5 years now and other than shear pins it’s been a good machince.

They no longer rate small motors in hp. It’s rated for 9.00 ft/lbs of torque. Not too big, but my driveway and sidewalks aren’t that big. It sure throws well, though!

Get some extra shear pins on hand right away. Al reminded me that one time I hit a rock and sheared off the pin. Being in a rush and mostly being stupid, I replaced with a steel bolt. Well, guess what gave when I hit the next rock(had granite lining the driveway, dumbest idea ever). $300.00 and 7 weeks later, I got my blower back with a new gear case.

If ya knew what rpm it ran at you could come close to hp, if it rus at about 3000 rpm that would be about 5 hp, I think..:)

    Have fun..:)

You probably wont be using it here this weekend, but you could take a trip to NW MN where they are going to get dumped on!!! Looking like possibly 16-20″ in the Bemidji or DL area based on some models that are more in alignment. So, there will be snow somewhere!!

I bought a new snowblower a couple of years ago, and it is rated at 14.5 ft/lbs of torque. I am curious how much HP it has because it replaced a 6hp toro that I brought to my mom’s house so I didn’t have to load one up every time it snows to clear her driveway. All I know for sure is that the 6hp toro is like a childs toy compared to my new one. The biggest problem I have now is that it throws the snow so far I can fill the driveways of my neighbors on both sides if it isn’t windy.

I “Think” that if you multiply engine rpm times torque and divide that by 5252 you’ll get close.

I hope your count hits triple digits. I would be fine not seeing another flake of snow this year.

It’s always nice to know, no matter how much it snows, I have the blower waiting to be used at home. I watched a couple neighbors scoop last night as I pulled into the development. We are right back to 5-6 drifts along the driveways and roads.
