So the big blow we had was the dome deflating? Geez……….I thought it was the air being let out of the Packer play-off hopes.

I’m pretty sure MN screwed this one up all on their own

    Whats next?

Sure Puts the new stadium issue on the fornt burner though. I think ziggy is jumping with joy.
It will be very interesting how the national media address’s it before and during the game tonight.

Guys, THink of how terrible this COULD have been! If you watched the video you understand. IF this happened during the game it would have killed any players standing in the fall zone. And probly hundreds more fans in the panic to get out of the building..

I’m just saying, make all the jokes you want because it’s the Vikings stadium, but I think everyone should be thankful that it didnt happend at 2:11 pm. I bet just about all of us would have had a loved one at the game.

Definitely lucky it happened when it did…. I was just thinking yesterday too… good thing the Bears don’t play in a dome, NE would have blew the roof off that thing yesterday…

I’m sure, although there’s millions in lost revenue from the game being moved. A drop in the bucket of the cost of a new stadium.

I’ve thought about that over and over again. Can’t imagine… The video is amazing. I’M HAPPY we can joke about it.

Maybe Ziggy should get excited and bust out his check book. NO NEW STADIUM on my dollar.

Unless I am wrong, MN is 6 billion in the hole for the next 2 year budget cycle coming up.

One only has to look at who is now gov to see if there will be any leadership on a new stadium.

I just do not see anything being done which is good, my taxes are high enough as it is.

Nah,I already pay enough taxes to this bleeding heart state. I see no need to help subsidize rich football owners, or the over-inflated salaries of the union workers to build it. How about the pro-stadium crowd have a raffle or something and raise the money on your own. If you want it, you pay for it.

Just listen for the buzz words.

    Unsafe…Outdated…hazardous…national embarassment…

Nice. Trying to comparing the dome roof collapsing, which has happened before, to a bridge collapsing. The bridge is a necessity. The dome is not. If OSHA declares the dome as a hazard (yeah right), then the Viking can go play their game someplace else. National embarrassment? Look at who people of this state vote into office. It doesn’t take a dome collapsing in a blizzard for Minnesota to be a national embarrassment.

I don’t need that bridge, anymore than I need the dome ? I think this thread has made a U-turn… I am getting out… much like anyone who doesn’t like this thread or this state for that matter can do. Anyone can complain and point fingers…. I have proved it many times.

Sorry you can’t see the difference between the bridge and the dome. Anyway those who want it, pay for it and stop trying to spend other people’s money.
