Anybody know where to get a ht ice drill adaptor?

    I’m looking for ht drill adaptor that can be attached to cordless drill. Also what size cordless drill will I need?
    I have a 7″ auger. Any info would be helpful.

    here you go HT adapter and use atleast an 18 volt drill or bigger if you have one.

    Blain’s Farm and Fleet has them down here. There is a guy on ebay that machines them out of aluminum for about $20. Money well spent for me.

    i have been thinking about going this route for my auger since i cant justify a power auger for a half dozen trips a year.
    my question is … do you need a 1/2 drill or will a 3/8ths work?
    checked out the HT link but they didnt say what size drill their adapter fit.

    I would go with the 1/2″ with at least 450 lbs of torque that is what I am using and can get about 35 holes in 6″ of ice. Last year we had about 20″ of ice here and I got 18 holes per charge. If you go much smaller you run the chance of tearing the drill apart. I am using a 6″ auger.
