    dont know anything about vexilar guy wants to sell me a unit–FL8 that was used in A boat aND i WANT TO USE IT FOR THE ICE–WHAT DO i NEED AND HOW MUCH???DONT HAve iceducer–or bat.-orcarry caSE ANY HELP APPRECIATED–SNAGGED

    You are looking at over $150 for ice ducer, battery, and case from vexilar.

    At Battery Mart – sealed 12V 12Ah bat = about $30.00 Charger = “16. plus shipping

    At Sportsman Guide – WX2-197056 – Vexilar Genz Carrying Case = $22.00

    Various website = transducer $59 to $100

    I he gave you the puck transducer from off of the boat, that will work for ice. The Genz blue box has a arm for mounting it to. The trick for the best signal is to have the transducer as level as you can get it. Also, i assume he gave you the mounting gimble

    I use a 3 gallon bucket to carry mine in it works great
