    Hello everyone,

For those of you who have been following the progress of our Service Dog “In Training” Hudson. We had to make the decision to put him down 2 weeks ago today. Sorry it took so long to let everyone know.

His cancer spread so quickly that it ended up rotting out his upper jaw bone and he lost all his molars which caused him to stop eating his regular food. That was when we made the decision. He did enjoy the dozen scrammbled eggs for every meal since that was all he could eat.

He is currently working at the “Pearly Gates” as St. Peter’s assistant opening the handicapped swith at the gates for anyone that meets criteria. Thanks for all the kind words, thoughts, and prayers over my last few posts about by best buddy who was due to help someone in a motorized wheel chair.

On the positive side. My family and I are determined to train another dog through graduation and placement with a person who needs a dog to change their life forever. Since our loss we are on the top of the list for the next big golden retriever male that could be concieved right after the first of the year, which would give us our new service project soon. By the way any neat names would be appreciated. The organization we work with only allows a name to be used one time. I am sure many of you will chime in. I will start the list, but the ultimate decision will be made by my 10 and 8 year old who miss their buddy and can’t wait for their new one.

Thanks to all of you I hope to meet a lot of you on Saturday at the “Ice Show”.

I am sorry to hear that. It is a shame that he was taken so early. I’m sure it was a tough time for all of you. We just lost our old golden boy Duker to brain cancer a few months back. It is pretty hard to lose such a good friend.

Sorry Jeff- Bronco is NOT an option. Being a Vikings fan “Packer” would happen before Bronco

Sorry to hear about Hudson. I try to convince myself they are just a dog, but we all know they are much more than that.
