My Dad lives in MN. His favorite team for the last ten years has been the team that is scheduled to play the vikings that particular week.

November 24, 2010 at 12:26 am #911935Role reversed….if your a packer fan and they moved, would you be a lions, vike or bear fan ?? FYI, all the “move” talk is being conjured up for a new stadium…(and by alot of packer fans, trying to stir a pot that isn’t there) the stadium funding will be addressed in the 2012 legislative session… those that need to know this, know this already. So what is your answer ?
big G
BTW, I would probably become a Chiefs or Broncos fan.

Same here. I was a huge hockey fan until the stars moved. Now? Haven’t watched more than 30 seconds of a game since the move. Done.

ok, so theres 1 lions fan…
2 Lions fans…
We don’t leave the ship although its been sinking for decades.
It’s those ‘ban wagon’ folks that only commit to a team when it’s been winning.Example: I know 70% LESS Bears fans since 1990. 50% of those Packer fans, that switched to Vikes
after Farve moved? Now the Vike fans are switching??You need to switch to a total ‘predictable’ team..LIONS!!!

Dissapointment reigns in my house,I have resorted to recording the Vikes and only watching the drives when they score.
And how often does that happenGo Bears? Gosh that hurts

And they will never play in Milwaukee…..right?
If the Vikings were to leave, I would likely still follow them. But I would probably also root for players or teams that I have respect for.
That will never be the Packers.

When they played in Milwaukee and I was there watching them, they were still the Green Bay Packers who were playing in Milwaukee! Kinda like the Bills palying in Toronto, when they play in that city they are still the Buffalo Bills The chances of the Packers moving away are less than any other team but not impossible, the nice thing about the NFL is they have real revenue sharing so a team from Green Bay supported by the state of Wisconsin can survive.

Communism at its finest. Way to go packers.
November 24, 2010 at 2:41 pm #912037There will be plenty of time for hashing over the Vikings move. Remember the North Stars was not a 100% economic situation. Green had that pesky sex scandal hanging over his head when he ran.
If they leave I will dive further into baseball & college Hockey.
I guess we could discuss how much longer Lucia will last.
bigpikePosts: 6259November 24, 2010 at 2:59 pm #912040I hope the Vikings get a new OPEN air stadium so we can continue this fun banter. It just would not be the same if they moved, of course its not my tax money to keep them. The Vikings can get rid of that dumb Viking horn after every play they make, though I only heard it after punts on Sunday and while were at it the Packers can get rid of the dumb Go Pack Go song they play during the game
November 24, 2010 at 3:08 pm #912045The NFL believes the fans are stupid. We need to be told when to cheer. They pipe in the loud music to keep us from booing when they make a bad play. They think their $hit doesn’t stink.
Course they may be right. City after city has buckled under to their teams demands for a new stadium. 9 billion dollars in TV contracts and they scream poverty? Yes we may be a dumb as they think we are. Or……….maybe not.
Here’s an idea………Hudson can build a new Viking stadium next to the dog track!
November 24, 2010 at 3:08 pm #912046Nice job if Dave is talking communism you guys are way under his skin. Perhaps Mao could by the Vikes?

At least Vikings fans know that Mao is dead and it is “buy”.
Also, since I chose to live in the real world…..Viking/Packer stuff doesn’t get under my skin.

November 24, 2010 at 3:54 pm #912054Viking stadium in Hudson? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
i walk my dog on that property. it’s fine just the way it is now!November 24, 2010 at 4:01 pm #912057So sorry about my spelling error. I was doing two things at once. Rumor has it Mao is dead but is anyone really sure? Maybe instead of purple they could be red or something to represent the blood of the people.
November 24, 2010 at 4:11 pm #912059I love watching a good game of football… anymore they are far and few between unless were talking college ball…So if the NFL were to shut the doors..it really wouldn’t bother me at all..

James , James, James. Don’t be so bitter. With the Wild it is a new day, a new franchise. I could probably count on my hands the number of games where I didn’t watch or listen to at least part of the game.I still want to know who the IDO Avs fan from last year was who scoffed at me when I said they’d be bounced in the fist round.
Yeah, screw football. Dumb sport anyway. Most of those players would be best known for needing a crane to get moved out of the bed in their house if not for football. The only sport besides sumo wrestling where a cow can be an athlete.
November 24, 2010 at 4:58 pm #912079I for one would still be a Vikings fan until Minnesota got another team .
jeff_hubertyInactivePosts: 4941November 24, 2010 at 5:41 pm #912092maybe the Queens will proposition Bert to be the offical tour guide, he will have to fight off BK as I’m sure BK will be as proud of a publicly funded purple stadium as he is the Twin’s stadium.
