Actually we do but at any convenient time it is not allowed around here so we play to the masses. The big thing to remmember about this year G is this WE are the 2-0 team and YOU are the humiliated team. The only difference between this year and last year is we still pulled ourselfs up by our boot straps and had a very good run to the playoffs, meanwhile the Vikings are old in many key areas and over valued talent they thought they had…..
November 23, 2010 at 12:44 pm #911739This years games are already history.. unless you win it all, your season is a bust, much like ours was last year… remember ? I would like to know who the over valued talent is ? BTW, we got a pair of boots yesterday, when chilli got the boot…

Excellent point, but if you recall in the 90’s with old Favre and most any great QB the playoffs correlated to wins are usually taken in baby steps. 1st year a loss, next year maybe a win or two, finally when a QB has learned his stripes he is fully ready to take his team to the promised land. With Rodgers we are at about step three in the process. As a Packer fan the next few years should be alot of fun to sit back and watch…. this team is well on its way

This sounds like some of the same statements that were made when BEERFART, the annointed one, came to Queensland a few years ago. Same schmitt, different day…

Lets see, Joe Webb as a NFL quarterback………ummm?
Wasn’t T-Jack a div II quarterback that NOBODY thought could be a NFL starting quarterback? Now you wanna make a kid who was drafted as a wide receiver or d-back and make him a quarterback because Chilly hated Rosenfelds enough to make Webb a quarterback? If so we better get use to being beaten like a drum.Unless there is a complete overhaul I’m not sure Frazier is the long term answer either.
Frazier definately not the long term answer. New ownership is. The only thing Frazier has going for him is there is no way but UP to go.
It will be interesting what happens in March with collective bargaining but it wouldn’t come as a total surprise to see the Queens make a move in April to draft Cam Newton ~ especially if they fail to pick up another a win or two in the reamining 6 games this season.
I don’t understand your remark about new ownership. You can say whatever you want about the Viking team but you sure can’t question the commitment of ownership!!
Cam Newton will be better served as a tight end in the NFL then a quarterback in my opinion. Most likely you won’t remember a guy named Joe Kapp or even Bobby Douglas of the Bears. Same type of guy’s as Newton. Newton is a very athletic person who happens to play quarterback on a very, very good team. He is not a great quarterback on an very good team, big difference.
Ziggy is no Bob Kraft or a Rooney or Debartelo.
He bought the team from Red and hired Chilly over Caldwell. He entrusted Chilly 110% with the team. I agree with the notion an owner should stay out of the locker room, but an owner needs to be in tune with what’s going on with his team. There’s hardly any evidence of that out there over the years. The way Chilly was allowed (by Ziggy) to handle the entire Brett Favre situation from the day he stepped off the plane into his SUV speaks volumes of the type of owner Ziggy is. A blind man could see Chilly did not have the control and respect from the vast majority of his players the position demands. I can only image the conversations between them two over the years. Chilly probable had him believing their was gold burried at the 50 yard in the Humpty Dome.Think about it ~ It took 3/4 of the state of MN calling for Chilly’s head for a month before Ziggy actually did something about. I know it’s only been 5 years ~ so just call it “hunch” if you want ~ but Ziggy’s heart isn’t in it for the right reasons. The Vikings were a pure business acquisition for him.

Caldwell was promised the Colts job when Dungy stepped down. He never would have come here. Besides, he has done nothing over there other then write Mannings name in the line up every game.
IMO Wilf jumped far to fast in naming a coach. He should of put a football guy in the front office and let them run the show in regards to the coaches and players. Favre was handled like a spoiled 8 year old child. To Favres credit he took advantage of the situation. Chilly is guilty of way to many things to start listing them all. But I still think Ziggy is a good owner for the fans. He wants to win and is willing to spend to do it. That said there is no doubt he will move the Vikings without a new stadium. It could happen as soon as next off season if the football season is cancelled. Yes it will be a business decision, the same decision you would make in his shoes.
Will Wilf be the most hated man in Minnesota since Norm Green if he moves the Vikings? Yes, I’m sure he will be. But the sun will surely come up the next day and life will go on.

Exactly, role reversed….. unless you have the trophy in hand, you have done nothing lately, just like the Vikings last year, which you fudge fans are so quick to point out for us
