I finally said enough! It’s time to get a remote starter put on the truck. Question is, where is the best installer near Hastings, or the Twin Cities? and what brand/model remote starter is the reliable? What are you guys using? Thanks!

Before you do a remote start, check into this Blue Heat. The best past is that it does NOT use gas. It is more expensive though.

Compustar (I think it may be similar to Big G model)
    Tintmasters Burnsville
1 mile plus range on the higher end model, cost ya a few bucks, but they have been beyond excelent for customer service and do excelent work. Lots of options too for what the system can really do, roll down windows, auto start on temp or time (iirc) Haven’t done any of those, my system in my truck is pretty old now, but we’re getting one in our Rav4 this winter.

Brian, had mach 1 put one in my old truck and last year put one in the wife’s vehicle in st paul. no cheap connectors or tape….

Also recommend them to a few friends that used them, no issues so far that i know of.

Good point. Definitely ask if their tech uses scotch loks and tape, or solder and shrink tubing. You want the solder and shrink tubing job
