I’m not a ice fisherman. But if I went I would want to fish for Pike. Do any of the resorts on LOTW spot their houses on prime Pike locations or is it all Walleye spots?

They certainly have areas for Pike fishermen and Pike fisherwomen, I know as a Minnessota resident you can rent a spear house. Some research should help you find some good areas outfitted for pike fishing…..good luck

Not sure about the resorts, but if you wanted to catch a pike out of lotw come up last ice, from mid march to beginning of april. Set up tip ups anywhere from 5-7 feet of water including the ice, I fish in between warroad and rocky point. People typically use live suckers, dead herring or dead smelt. if you want any other info let me know, lotw is a great lake for gigantic pike.

We’ve gone out the Borderview Lodge in Baudette right before ice out and done very well, specifically fishing for pike fwiw.

Zippel puts out quite a few houses for pike. There are darkhouses out there as well. Just be damn careful of the slot restrictions on the lake.

So, early ice, late ice or spearing?

Anybody spot houses for Pike in January for hook & line?

Of the three years I went to Zippel Bay, the first year was great Pike fishing in what they refer to as the shallow shacks, we also did well for walleye in this area, the next two years we hardly caught a pike. This was all in January. Depends on the year in that part of LOTW
