    This state is nuts!

GOP wins the house and the senate, but Dayton leads as Govenor? Has to be the recognizable name – that is all I can think of this morning.

they are saying maybe not even a recount as the democrates would make that choice and the difference is over 9000 votes.

did they have people voting again that are not alive? and driving them in.

I am kidding just kidding it is a joke. don’t lock this up.

Apparently, there have been some issues with voting legalities. Including some mental health professionals that brought some (ineligible) mentally ill patients in to vote… telling them who to vote for, and in a couple cases… filling out the balet FOR them because they were too out of it to do themselves.

    Get ready for a battle.

I like GL Joe’s idea on how to decide close elections. If you dont win by more than 1%, get together, shake hands, and flip a coin.

    No hard feelings, move on.

As we saw in 2008, the more the recount “process” gets put under a microscope, they less it feels like an election.

Anyone with me? Proposition 205, the great MN coin flip?

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie had 2 year to fix the problems and shore things up, yet Hennipen county doubled their votes last night. The Alanis Morissette irony being that last night Ritchie was re-elected.

Any chance the Resource Party got 5 percent of the votes? Other than that it is just the same ole, same ole

Are you kidding me? Can’t somebody help them? WTF – you mean tell them how to vote? I like that you can show up at the polling place with no ID and VOTE. I love MN.

Unfortunately, MN isn’t alone here. You don’t need an ID to vote in WI either. I don’t think you do in any state. Without trying to make a political statement, I will just say there are quite a few groups/organizations that would oppose having to show an ID when trying to vote. Seems like a no brainer to me though.

I seem to recall requiring an ID is something the Dems fight tooth and nail. Apparently the poor economically challenged people can’t afford an ID so it’s a hardship and unfairly hinders their ability to vote.

Since when has a Governors election brought out twice the voters as a Presidential/Senate election? If this is true, this needs to be probed into by someone other than Mr. Richie…

hats off to the people of Oklahoma who not only voted for term limits of legislatures, banned the use of Sharia (Islamic Law) in state courts, made it manadatory for voters to show a government issued picture ID and the big one, approved English as the official state language.

No, you misinterpreted and/or I didn’t give the whole story. Dayton had a big lead at one point because Hennepin mistakenly doubled their tally. But don’t worry, they “corrected it”.

    What!?

    Isn’t this…UN-American?

That’s like banning chicken at KFC! Like banning Mexican food from Taco Bell…
