Well gentleman I know I have been MIA for a while here. I recently just found out my military career is taking me from the land of great hunting and fishing in feb to GA. right in good ice fishing weather grrr and selling the boat off (no one gonna use it while I am gone). I have enjoyed the time here and meeting the IDOers here you all are great.

Why not take the boat with you? I did when I worked in Alabama!

I’ve heard the Internets work in GA, not sure about the Google though.

But at least check in when you can and tell us what’s happening down that way.

Which boat is yours in the classifieds?

    Denny,

I am going to be in a little apartment with no additional space due to it being a military move and the FW wont be there till next year. so its in the best interest of my FB to get her a new home.

A lot of good inshore and offshore fishing down there. I’d be pumped if I were you. Speckled Sea Trout, Redfish, Grouper, Black Bass, etc. Bring that boat with you. I’m jealous of you!

Mike, I received a pm this morning from an Ido regular.

What do you need for fish bucks. They are willing to donate theirs to you.

    Shoot me a pm please.

This darn IDo community always amazes me!

Mike, It was nice to meet you briefly and chat about fishing on the big green pond. I hope all goes well for you. If you get back around and don’t have a boat you can always jump in mine for the day

Georgia ain’t all that bad. I was stationed at Ft. Gordon and there is awesome bass fishing and deer hunting right on the post! Best thing of all about Georgia (other than all those lovely Southern Bells ) is Clarks Hill Resevoir….the best cat-fishing in all of Dixie!!!

If you can stand the humidity you will enjoy and have just as good of outdoor adventures as you can here. Good Luck to ya.

I agree with some of the guys here. Benning isn’t very far from the gulf at all (if that is where you are going) and there are a lot of charter fisherman who are willing to take soldiers at a discount. I’ve found most places I’ve been in the military have something you can do on or near post. I’ve been to Ft Leonard Wood, Benning, Bragg, Lee, Knox and found time to fish at each and every one of them.

    Gentleman,

thank you all for your Kind words BK had the FW right of course i think he coined it. the second FB = favorite Boat.

BK pm sent and you are so right about this community is nothing short of amazing.

Rueger I am so excited for the opportunity to enjoy a wide fishery plus with family in FL looking for ward to the drum run also. Wish I could take her with me but with limited space have to but the FW is on to me already I quote “sure we can sell the boat but that means you’re going to want a more expensive one” yep she got me pegged.

Russ I know we did get much of a chance to see each other much but hey I got till feb and might hit the green pond yet before the water freezes for chasing those crappies and some eyes.

OU, now that I love to hear about the cat fishing.

This is a great opportunity for all the fishing and hunting and I will be a bachelor there for about a year so if I aint fishing then there is a problem. Of course the reports will be coming from down there. I do plan on being back every couple of months so hope to see ya all

And for those in the market the FB is in the classifieds
