Yesterday’s press conference, lack of effort on routes, mentoring Harvin and his lack of respect for Chilly got him shipped out.

Vikings need to finish 7-2 and MAKE the play-offs for Chilly & Bevell to save their jobs.

We need Chilly gone before he has a chance to drag McNab in here next year.

Here’s one thing I don’t understand in the NFL. WHy would you ever waive a player like that. WHy wouldn’t you try to trade him first? (and dont say nobody would want him). I mean, get something in return right?

HA< watch him just stay in NE and sign on. NE gets a 3rd round pick, Moss played half A** against them, and all of this was planned. I wouldn’t put it past the genius Bill.

Its past the trade deadline and Moss is in a contract year, that’s how he whinned his way out of NE. As far as this whole incident it is bizarre and has to be a major black eye for Chilli and the Vikings. This certainly will be the watershed move that will signal the begining of the end for certain coaches and players in Minny haha

Wouldn’t it be funny if Ted Thompson signed Moss for the remainder of the year?

WOW… WTF are they (Childress) thinking? As a team we had 7 receiving TD’s on the year. 5 of them have come since Moss got here.

Because I have school 10 days this November I have to miss hunting season. At least I won’t have time to watch Brainless Childress run this team because he has officially lost them. I feel bad for Hutch, Williams Wall, Winfield and even Favre (a little).

What a brainless POS Childress is.

I can’t wait to hear what ‘Cheesus’ (I think that is what they were calling Favre on KFAN) has to say about the move.

    Bye, Bye Randy.

To answer the earlier question… I wouldn’t want to see that tool in a Packer uniform. Talk about a cancer.

I know you were most likely kidding but………….

Why doesn’t Chilly & Bevell let Favre call the plays? He has more experience then both of them. He is on the field and can see the defense. I don’t really agree with all these player situational substitutions. I think the offense ends up reacting to what the defense is trying to do rather then the other way around.

Lets stick our 11 best out there and let the defense figure out how to stop them.

    Good point!

I hope this means that Rice is coming along nicely and Percy’s ankle is fine.

    Glass half full.

As to why cut him? He was getting paid WAY too much for a lack of production.

Moss was having a down year in NE and it continued here. I dont think the Vikings will miss him.

    Bad trade, move on.

It occurs to me that there are 1000 guys out there playing fantasy football that could do a better job of running the Vikings than their current regime. How many catches did Moss have TOTAL since he came back here, and that cost us a 3rd round pick? Yikes…

Favre isn’t going to like this. How dare Moss take his headlines. The retirement will be coming, just to steal those headlines back.

Now I understand why Ted Thompson cherishes his draft picks so much. Red flags should of went up when a team like the Patriots are giving up on a player they desperatly need to keep there offense rolling. Not one Patriot complained publicly when Moss hit the road, not even there best player in Brady who the trade effected the most. The Patriots absolutely fleeced the Vikings and all I can say is wow. With a team taking major steps back in multiple areas this year the Vikings could be in trouble….

That’s it…chili is officially a piece of crap and needs to go. When he said we don’t need people like him around this team, he shoulda been talking about himself.

From what was reported on ESPN 1500 in Minnesota today Harvin was spending more and more time with Randy. They were afraid of his influence on Harvin.

Fear is the catch word in Vikingville!

Leave it to the Vikings to make a boring afternoon before work interesting and comical: The last line is the BEST

Jay Glazer of FOX reports that, although coach Brad Childress has informed the team that Moss has been waived, the move has not yet officially occurred — and Moss (as we reported earlier) still has not been informed of the move.

And here’s the part where we speculate on what may really be happening.

It looks like Childress has acted on his own, presumably after the scar on his soul from the T.O. episode of 2005 (Childress was the offensive coordinator in Phily at the time) began to throb like Harry Potter’s lightning bolt. (Look, I’m not a Harry Potter fan. But anyone with a kid under the age of 16 knows about Harry Potter, and also has at some point heard about the scar on his forehead that throbs whenever Darth Vader shows up, or something.)

The rock-scissors-paper hierarchy in Minnesota hasn’t been clear since the Fred Flintsone look-a-like named Fran Foley was fired for falsifying his work history. The fact that Sage Rosenfels (a Rick Spielman favorite) was traded in favor of Tarvaris Jackson (a Childress-Foley-Rob Brzezinski draft pick) suggests that Chilly has the juice.

Or maybe he really doesn’t, and maybe Chilly has tried to dump Moss as a way to bring to the front burner the persistent rumors that Childress could soon be dumped in favor of defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.

If Childress can set this up as a Moss-goes-or-I-go decision, then it won’t look like the head coach was run out of town for, you know, sucking at his job, but that he took a stand based on principle, and that others in the organization didn’t share his views about not having Moss on the team.

Either way, the current situation surely has Vikings fans longing for the simpler days of DUIs, Whizzinators, and sex-and-booze cruises on Lake Minnetonka.
