Yes I’ll be heading up Friday afternoon to get set up for 2 nights of hunting for the big gals. I’m going to try the south end as well Friday night. Fished there the 25th Sept and 2nd of Oct and did well with eaters and few hogs to get the blood pumping. Also fished the hawkbill area the 9th and did very well. I think fishing will be hot all over the lake. Water temps may dip to the upper 40’s with any luck. Firetiger was truely the hot rap for me. Well 1 more day of work and it’s Mille Lacs bound.
Good luck be safe. See ya on the water with any luck.
Full moon on Mille Lacs it doesn’t get any better than that.

Unfortunately I will be driving right past the pond on my way to the cabin tomorrow morning. No fishing, but there will be a lot of bon fires and beer. Maybe even some fresh grouse for supper this weekend.

Good luck guys. Looking forward to seeing some pics Sunday night.

YAHOO!!! Heading up Friday afternoon with my sons – 1st time ever being on the pond together. I sure hope I can put them on some fish. Hope the wind on the north end settles down before 3:00am.

Anybody use minnows/spinners night fishing or just trolling cranks?

    I am pumped.

Looks like the weather / wind may take a turn for the worse… Now estimating 15 – 20 MPH for Saturday afternoon. 100% cloud cover for Saturday night. What else is new, I get a day to get away and head to the pond and the weather fights me all the way.

My two other trips this year have been the same not perfect weather. 90 degrees and ZERO wind and thunderstorms and wall clouds. Ah such is life.

She was rockin and rollin last night here on the east side. That wind really got the bite going good! The fish are on the chew.

Was fishing solo last night, so no pics. Fishing sand/gravel running 5-7 fow. HJ in the silver with orange belly was the only crank I put down. Once I dialed in the speed at 1.25 with 85 ft back it was game on. Pretty much click the reel in gear and 1-2-3 bang!!!

I doubt that bite would have gone like that without a good wind. All of these fish are nice fat and scrappy.

The Malmo mart has Redtails. I’m going to get a scoop and head out early to see if there is any kind of day bite going on. Brother Todd should be up tonight for round two.

Well, you never really fish alone when you have a dog! Mr. Overboard is not happy about the doggy life jacket.
