Viking/Packer Game

Sunday night the Vikes and Packers square off in Lambeau. What do the football rubes predict for the game? The Packers have been unlucky this year with close losses and way to many injuries. The Vikings have looked pathetic on offense and have managed to keep themselves in every game despite being 2-3.

I think Favre and Moss will get on the same page for a couple TD’s. Peterson is due for a huge game and Harvin will break another kick off for a TD.

    Vikings – 31
    Packers – 17

Think it’s going to be the battle of two bad teams-too many injuries and holes to fill for both teams.

I don’t have a good feeling right now, the injury list is about as long as the starting list.

agreed. if Matthews can’t play favre will carve ’em up. we got no answer for harvin as a wr. I think woodson will shut Moss down for the most part but randy loves Lambeau. Peterson will have a nice game but harvin will kill us.

Vikings 77 Packers 2 (Klewe takes a safety instead of punting w/ 3 seconds left in 4th).

Favre throws a few picks and fumbles once, and then blames it on his elbow after the game and says he may need to sit a couple weeks. The packers sign Betty White and Cloris Leechman to fill holes at linebacker only to find out they can’t cover a tight end either.

In a horrible game full of penalties, it ends in a tie at 0-0 when after countless injuries to both teams, they run out of players.

In other words, I have no idea who will win. I think the game has lost some of its luster it held early on for many reasons. Should still be a good game, but not as good as if both teams were healthy.

Not a good time to be a Packer fan. So much hope going in only to see it decimated by injuries. Vikes SHOULD win

If Matthews doesn’t play the Vikings should win going away.

Speaking of going away……………if the Vikings lose Chilly can go with Brewster.

    From a vikings fan

Favre will connect, buy not as many times as Rodgers. Adrian Will fumble. Moss will be great. Harvin will have a migrain. Rodgers will be player of the game.

All us Packer fans have heard all year is about the weapons that Rodgers has. Ha! Ha! Ha! Of course no one specified if the weapons were modern or primitive.
Anyone who has really watched the Packers over the past few weeks knows that our offensive and defensive lines are BELOW average. If you can’t win up front, you can’t win. We won’t block ends, Rodgers will get sacked 5-6 times, and then the Vikings will win in overtime. I’ve seen this one before.
Our only prayer is if Mathews can come back close to full strength. He is a difference maker on defense. Even a fossil from Mississippi can pick apart a defense if given enough time.
Either way, I am positive that the game doesn’t have the luster that both sides expected it to have at this point in the season.
Good luck to Rodgers and the Packers!!!!!

as a life long Packer fan.. I see two coaches, who shouldn’t be in charge of a girls football team, lingerie or not..
neither is what you would call a deep thinker..
    that being said..
the strenght of the queens is the d- line.. a major weakness of the Packers is the Offensive line..

Rodgers has happy feet. .He doesn’t have Favre’s toughness.
the queens have a running game and the Packers do not..

    the Queens will win.

24-17 on a late Rodgers interception as he is hit for the 15th time..

this could or should cause the Packers to continue their Death spiral.. ultimately leading, hopefully to the firing of two major Packer management persons..

I do not see my club putting up anywhere more than 10 points unless they are lucky and get a special teams touchdown. They just do not have people healthy to compete on both sides of the ball, fact of life.

Based on recent history against good QB’s, Brent should have a great game unless it is too cold, as the Packers just cannot pressure the QB especially with Matthews out.

Vikes 24, Pack 14. Although, I’m so confident with this prediction, it could easily be the same score reversed. I’ve yet to see a full 4 quarters on the offensive side of the ball. If the 80’s glam rocker in the middle is out, we have a chance.

Well, Dancing with the stars isn’t on and we just converted to HD cable, so I’ll start to watch the game.

24 to 27…maybe, and considering the queens are so erratic I don’t know which team will win.

If the dream team looks like last years team it could be a 40+ score, on the other hand, if Farve runs out of Ben [censored] it could just be another loss.

Another loss could drive another nail into the dreams of wilf to have us poor slobs build him another stadium, so…go Packers..:)

Al..who still thinks the LA vikings has a nice ring to it.

KUDOS To all of you for writing what you acually feel and not what you want to happen.. Both Vikes and Pack fans! It’s very very refreshing to read a Pack/Vike post where we can all get along and have a discussion about the football game and not who’s dad is stronger! (and I’m guilty of that too) Thank YOU!

NOw,I do see Favre,Moss, and Harvin having nice games. I’m not sold on AP just yet. I don’t think our O-line can make a hole big enough to get him through. If anything he will get a big gainer on a run that gets bounced to the outside.

The Packers will score touchdowns, the vikings will score touchdowns. Prediction:

Vikings WIN: If less turnovers than the Packers
Packers WIN: If less turnovers then the Vikings

I predict I will be at least into a 12’er by game time…. 6000 feet up in the Mountains of Montana.. with football about as far away from my mind as it can get Goodluck to both teams…not really

I have the same sentiment of many here. MN made so many stupid personel moves so far that it is hard to cheer.

GB just has hurt players. They may recover from that at least. At least they have a good idea who their QB will be next year.

This is easy to do when both teams stink. All that preseason bravado has turned into self loathing.

    Prediction: Seahawks 31 Arizona 13

…and my fantasy team takes another turd.

The Vikings ain’t good enough this year to put anyone away. They’ll be ahead but lose on some fluke play like the one years ago when the ball hit the Vikes DB and landed on the GB WR laying on the ground!

I’ll be watching, but no expectations.
