Gopher Coach Fired

    Local TV is reporting that Gopher football coach Jim Wack….uh….Tim Brewster has been fired and the interim coach will be their Offensive coordinator.

    At least they have a Coordinator for the head guy now, not somebody’s Tight End coach….

    I am happy for gopher football fans. Too great of a stadium to have such horrible program.

    I will sure miss those press conferences though. “I know we lost, but we really hung in there…It was just that one play here and that one play there and we could be 6-1 instead of 1-6…”

    Finally! I hope the U can finally hire someone to turn this trainwreck around. It would be nice to be able to be a Gopher fan.

    I remember when they hired Brewie…. all they talked about how great of a recruiter he was….. then he couldn’t get his own kid to come to the U…… I knew we had something special there….

    No offense to Gopher fans or student athletes, but the football and basketball programs won’t amount to much again in the future untill the school offers a general degree (aka Liberal Arts) again. I don’t remember when they stopped offering it, but my guess is it’s be at least 10 years or so.

    Dungy was contacted by the U already. He said so on NBC tonight–He’s not interested but said he would help them find a new coach.

    The GOOFS have a win this year?? Had to be a D3 school since they lose to all the D1’s and 2’s. GOOFS sports are a joke.
