    Guys…
Looks like I will be replacing my double hung windows at my expense . They are alum clad on the outside, wood inside. I’m looking for replacements that I can just drop in the existing frames. Anyone have an idea on where to start looking? Thanks in advance…Gregory

Do you know the mfgr of the wdws? If not it might me printer very small in the corner of the wdw pane.
If you find the mfg you will be much happier with stock sashes rather than what replacment wdw companies have to offer.
On a side note you can generally ge the whole wdw replaced for about the same price thet companies such as Renewal by Anderson will do it for. Hope some of this helped. -Mark

They are Hurd windows. I have talked to the factory rep. Short story is: Hurd went thru bankruptcy, new owners did not have to honor the warranties, & they don’t make my exact style sash anymore. New sash’s come with a newer block & tackle kit I don’t want to deal with.
    Thanks, Gregory

Try Marvin tilt pacs! They are a breeze to install into existing frames.

How old are the windows that you have in there now?

They were made in ’94, installed in ’95.
