    2003 Lund Pro V SE 1800, 175 Evinrude Ficht, T8 Yamaha kicker,
3 people, 3 batteries, 3/4 tank gas, full load of gear….48mph on gps.

Dry? That depends on the weather but anyone with an aluminum V-hull, that says they stay dry all the time….I gotta believe they’re not fishing when the water gets rough! (regardless of make/model – I would have to see it to believe it)

Fast and dry! Pretty rare to get a facefull of water. Even quartering 3 footers across Milly in 20mph winds. Do it all the time.

Jon I’d love to see a video of that I think it would be a great technique video for IDO. I know in almost 3 footer’s I’m a bit uncomfortable, normally I’m not out in those conditions. My boat does have little tendency to spear a wave in those conditions too, but that may be the driver…

I’m not sure I’m the best wave driver out there, I stay nice and dry unless the spray gets blown in the boat by the wind.
Ranger 190vs Reata, 200 Yamaha ox66, 60-61 (room for improvement) on a good day, probably what most people consider to be a light load. Good tank of gas. Full windshields certainly help staying dry and warm

Seen a fair amount of baots that would stay reasonably dry except for this, toss that water up in the air during a pretty good wind and I think many will get wet.

That’s where you need the speed. Go faster than the water can fall back. Most alum boats will come apart at the seams trying to do that however…. Don’t ask how I know.

I posted a bass boat, pay attention. It’ll be a sad day when I get old and need a walleye boat and can only go 62 with 300 verado.

They will if you have the balls to let them fly. My boat when it’s up on the pad gets a little scary when its starts to chine walk and mine is a slow ranger.
