We purchased a new vehicle and it has the dealership sticker on it. What’s the best way to remove them without hurting the paint. It took me 2 trips back with my last vehicle before they would take it off. Thanks

because it looks like crap, makes a nice vehicle look trashy and I just don’t want it on there.

What kind of vehicle you buying that has gel coat?

Get a heat gun if you wanna make it quick. Northern Tool had a $15 heat gun that worked for what I was removing. You might not get all the adhesive residue off the paint, gasoline on a rag works wonders for that.

If its not too stubborn, you may be able to peal it off with your finger nails and then some WD-40 to get the adhesive off.

Just a regular hair drier will do the trick. For the left over glue (if any) Gooh Gone or if you don’t have that WD-40 will do the trick and it doesn’t hurt the paint. Glenn

Dude… You need to tell them you won’t take delivery with a sticker. That’s what I do, if it’s used… well then, it might actually show some paint fade, or might not.

Thanks for all the info, I think my heat gun on the low setting should work, I’ll give it a try tomorrow.

X2, Brother owns a sign shop, best way to remove decals is heat gun on high to heat it up then flip to medium. Flat razor blade, plastic if your new at it, then use lacquer. One thick dapping of that on the adhesive, let it sit about a minute tops, paper towel with thumb pressure will whipe it right off. Dealer sticker, start to finish: New should take you about 4-5 mins, used 7-8, old used with lots of gravel use 8-10 (comes off in tiny pieces).
