I remember awhile ago someone posted how to fix the wires on a transducer. I cut through the wires on the depth finder on my trolling motor. and would much rather fix the one I have, instead of the $60 it is for a new one. If it makes a difference it’s a hummingbird. THANKS for the help guys.

I had the Same thing happen to me. Cut out the bad section and remove the insulation and strip the wire on the new ends. Slide on some heat shrink tubing. Solder the matching wires together and wrap each of them with electrical tape. Slide the heat shrink over the exposed area leaving overlap onto the non-cut wire. once the heat shrink tubing is on use electrical tape on each end to make sure you get a good seal.

Worked great for me I have gone the whole season without any problems. Good Luck!
