Hey.. I am looking for a video of Jim McMahon and Bears come back against the Vikings on Thursday Night Football in 85..
I have found the one minute version of it on youtube.. but there used to be a four or five minute or longer version of it..
this is not to rub it in any one’s nose..
I saw this game live, years ago.. and it came up in discussion this week..
its also 25 years ago this past week..
I just remember that McMahon was in traction, all week. did not practice.. and in the second half Ditka finally put him in..
four bombs later the Bears won..
I walked into Mac’s sport shop the next morning and Jim Stahl says to me ..
” BOB, NOW YOU KNOW THE BEST DRUGS IN THE WORLD ARE CONTROLLED BY THE NFL”..
and for the next 10 minutes we just about peed ourselves laughing at that statement..
