gets an acorn once in a while. I’m not known for fishing for eyes on purpose, but once in a while, they light up my worms. This was a nice 24″ fish from the Rainy River. I though my friend was going to cry when we sent it back into the water. It didn’t fit the slot and that really was too bad because it was hooked very deep. We cut the line and treated it as gently as possible. I hope it lives to spawn many times.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re not blind…… Wait!
My wife is saying something to me…… Oh Yeah! You aren’t a pig either. Deep hooks happen. Nice fish!

You did all the right things in the way you treated the fish. The laws say what we have to do and we have to abide by them… You set a great example for all those with you..

I agree with the above two posters Jerry, but they didn’t ask the real questions.

How long did it take to get that nasty smell out of your boat….and

Where the heck are your gloves!?

    Spoke like a true Sally.

That remark reminded me of an ice fishing video with Doug Stange using a device called a bolo or something like that to pull fish out of his hole, it had scales built into the handle to weigh your catch.
