Where did all the team vs. team posts go? Was there a memo I missed to knock it off? Did it move to somewhere else? Is everyone growing tired of it? Does no one care anymore? What happened?????

The debate is as old and interesting as dirt.
Don’t worry, it will be back with all the chest pounding fury as it always has.
September 13, 2010 at 2:43 pm #855112The Packers and Badgers won this past weekend and the vikings and gophers both lost… Nuff said… or maybe not.
September 13, 2010 at 2:44 pm #855113too early for this Pack fan to talk smack. if Vick would have played the whole game yesterday I am afraid the Packers would NOT have won that one. a win in a hostile place like Philly is a very good one. 1-0. I’ll take it!
bigpikePosts: 6259September 13, 2010 at 2:56 pm #855006I can’t believe all the national guys jumping on the Packers and Super Bowl talk, I mean every show I watched had the atleast half the guys declare Green Bay as the Super Bowl winners or players. Wow, I’ll hold off a few weeks or months, I mean all the pieces are ther but injury’s and luck will play a big part of that. The Vikings on the other hand look to be in trouble, seems like water is leaking from the dike and not enough fingers to plug the holes. Its only week one but I couldn’t be any more happy with the results…
September 13, 2010 at 3:01 pm #854339I’ll give you what you want here Steve.
Vikings played like it was their first game of the season with not much of a WR core. Negatives: lost the game. Possitives: held a good offense in check.
Packers played well for the first game of the season, kind of. Nice win on the road against a nice team without their starting qb.
We have to wait until at no more than 2 weeks out from our first game against each other before the team to team smack talk begins..
September 13, 2010 at 3:07 pm #853196last years hype was giving the Queens a Super Bowl, they drank the Kool-Aid and promptly placed the trophy on the mantle. This years hype puts the Pack in the same expectations, we pass on second helping of cheese and will wait till the day comes. Oh, lets not forget big g learned a new word “bitter”
September 13, 2010 at 3:10 pm #853197Neither the Vikes or the Packers looked all that good in their first game. Pretty hard to tell a lot from what we saw this weekend. It’s a long season with plenty of games left. Plenty of room for both teams to improve for sure.
Where was A.J. Hawk yesterday? I didn’t see or hear that he was injured and yet I don’t remember seeing him in the game yesterday either.
One thing is for sure. Without Clay Mathews & Charles Woodson, the Packers defense would be in for one heck of a long season.September 13, 2010 at 3:18 pm #898652Quote:

Oh please. I have never met a Packer fan with any self restraint. The fact is after last year, Packer fans are “cautious”.
I predict if they get a 2 game cushion on the Vikes or they beat the Vikings in one of the meetings this year, tradition, Lombardi and Rogers for MVP will be plastered all over the board.

That’s the nice thing about aquiring and having super stars on your team. Without them you are nothing… Take Favre and Peterson from the Vikings O or Allen and well there must be someone else on D and what do you get
September 13, 2010 at 3:36 pm #898656I didn’t learn the word bitter last year…. it was just the taste left in alot of green and gold mouths, after Favre handed them their azz’s twice (that one at lambo really had to sting) ….. can’t say I can blame people for feeling this way, if only they would admit their true feelings….
FWIW, from what I have seen(granted, week 1), we don’t have to worry about the vikes, the cheese or new orleans winning any superbowls….. and you can throw in all the experts picking dallas too… lame

September 13, 2010 at 3:37 pm #898657See, it is not that hard to get the PAcker vs. Vikings stuff started.

coffee just shot out of my nose, that was great!
September 13, 2010 at 3:51 pm #898665We all know the Packers are going to the superbowl and the vikings aren’t–so nothing to discuss. Hard to dismiss objective, factual evidence.
Go PACK!!!!!!

Looking forward towatching those fans in Green Bay squirm again.

A.J. Hawk was where he should be…..on the sidelines. IMHO I think HE is the only mistake Ted Thompson has made since becoming The Packs’ GM. He is a serviceable linebacker……if he doesn’t have to move more than 5 yards from the line of scrimmage. After that he is “pulling a plow” as far as his foot-speed. I think his playing time will be greatly restricted this season.

Defensive Lineman Harrell from Tennessee???
Mark
September 13, 2010 at 5:23 pm #898701agreed. I did see him on the kick off coverage team. pretty expensive special teamer if you ask me. Vernon Davis was picked right after AJ. He’s an animal.

Hey the coffee drinking guy is my favorite.
Mine too. Brian wouldn’t let me trademark it though.

Hands down…. Justin Harrel was the worst pick by far.
Pretty sure he suffered a serous knee injury on that kick off coverage team too. He is probably out for the rest of the year. Drafted him #16 in the first round despite being injured most of his senior year of college and this is the 3rd straight year that he will be injured & out for pretty much the entire season.
Brilliant pick Teddy!
September 13, 2010 at 8:08 pm #898719Personally I do not know how the national media came up with the Packers in the super bowl and I am a season ticket holder.
They must have missed a few games last year with the same defense against the following ( Queens, Steelers, & Cardinals)
When they start stopping other teams in the fourth quarter, I will start to get a little excited. At this point, they won an early game, plenty of tough ones to go. The last time I checked I think the season is 16 games….
