My youngest son and I were there on Saturday. We hit the traffic jam one mile before the entrance to the overflow parking area. Only took us an hour to go that last mile. AND We Were Amongst The LUCKY Ones.
The Bikini Ice Fishing Team sat in traffic for FIVE HOURS before they got to a place where they could park and then walk just over a mile to the event entrance.
I know some guys who parked three to five miles away and walked in from there.
Other than that, It is a GREAT EVENT. Imagine State Fair focused soley on ATV and Snowmobile riders; with snowmobile drag racing as the main event in the grandstand and instead of the Leine Lodge stage there’s a five acre motocross track set up with six “major air” ramps in the center of the course (they jumped four wheelers, dirt bikes and snowmobiles off those ramps).
The grounds is probably half to two-thirds the size of State Fair and I bet there was 50,000 people there. All the snowmobile and ATV manufacturers have exhibits set up there. Also many of the accesories/gear/clothing places like SledNecks and FoxRacingShox.
PLUS a large Swap Meet area.
All in All a worthwhile day, but the earlier in the morning that you arrive the better off you are. Gates open at 7AM

Here is what I found out, A: not enough cops B: planned parking flooded C: the county put a letter in all the nearby residents mailboxes that there was a 500.00 fee to allow/charge for parking in yards/fields
