Motorcycle dented tank?

Wife who decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle was doing ok until she decided to draft off a parked car.

Actually I think she got into traffic and got confused and did hit a parked car…belonging to a off duty cop…sigh.

She’s ok, lots of bruises, but the bike didn’t fair to well, one of the items dented was the tank, and I’m wondering if anybody has any experience with the paint less dent removal??

Happy to hear she is ok. You can always try the suction cup dent removers depending on the dent location,how deep and if the metal is creased.

Show us a pic of it. If its not to deep, The dent guy MIGHT be able to fix it.

I have 3 PDR jobs in my shop Monday.I have a guy that comes to my shop to do them.If the dent is accessable from the inside a good tech can help you out.Remember the sharper the dent the harder it is to get out complete.Be sure to check the guy out.There are a lot of ”hacks”doing pdr.Once one of these guys screw it up you need a painter.Good luck Steve

I have since found out it has a inner tank, also it’s dented enough that the paint has hairline cracks that I missed when we first looked at it.

I think we’ll fix the front fork tubes and let her ride it till winter.
