I vote you get the components and make your own. I have found that sometimes its nice to customize lengths and color combonations.

I many different brands of spinners to get color variety then I have beads of all different colors and sizes I have collectet from numerous stores.

It is a good skill to have to tie your own snells and riggs. Learn how to snell crawler harness’ and you are good to go. On a side note use a bit heavier line for spinners and crawlers for the reason of knot strength on snells and resistance to twisting. Say 12# or so.
Learn these things and you can set up lindys, bottom bouncers, 3 ways and spinner/ spinner crawler harmesses.
    Best luck. -Mark

x3 or is it x4. And there is always a different feeling when you catch fish on something you have created yourself. I also use quick change clevises so I can change colors in a heartbeat if needed.

I use self-tied leaders that are usually as long as the rod I’m using. The extra length seems to catch me a fish or two more than others in the boat. Instead of the bottom bouncer, I pour sliding sinkers with a wire loop at the top. I can drop the rod tip to let the fish have a second crack at my bait if I’m not quick enough to set the hook the first time.

Like to tie my own also, I usually like them much longer than what you can buy.
Unlike others though, I still stay with Stren clearblue in 6 or 8# test.

I generally use a quick change spinner blade slide so I can cange colors and styles without having to retie the entire rig. Generally tie up the rig with the same line I am fishing with.

W-jgr – the best pre-made lindy I’ve used was assembled by Spro. I vary the hook size to match the bait. Size 2 or 4 hook for minnows, 4 or 6 for worms and 6 or 8 for leeches. Being cognizant of the hook size allows your bait to present itself to the walleyes in the most natural way. And of course I’ve messed around a lot with hook color. For most MN & ND water I fish chart and orange have caught more fish. Sometimes that little soft glow bead they add out fishes no bead. Fleet Farm carries Spro brand lindy rigs. Good luck fishing.
