Im heading up to Sand Lake (Just east of Cumberland, WI) For a short family vacation this weekend.

Anyone fished this recently? Is it work taking my boat up to do some fishing?

Know any good entertainment or food in the area?

    Thanks!

    C$,
I have a cabin on Sand. I will be up there this weekend too. Musky fishing has been pretty slow this year. Walleye fishing is hit or miss. Pan fishing and bass fishing is more consistent.

As for food and entertainment… What are you looking for? Casaul food or a nicer place? For casual, I would recommend the Hill Top (good breakfast too), County Line, Corner Bar in Cumberland. For a nicer place, I would recommend the 5 O’clock Supper Club. The Cumberland Golf course is a couple miles from Sand. Otherwise there is the casino in Turtle Lake that is about 15 miles away. I’m not aware of any naked lady clubs within 30 miles. Cumberland has a pretty cool small town movie theater. If you’ve never been to Louies Meats in Cumberland.. Nobody beats Louies Meats. Awesome brats.

Stop by for a beer if your out on the lake. I’ll shoot you a PM with my cell number.

I fished Sand Lake last night. I caught 1 fish. It was a 9 inch Large Mouth caught on a 10 in Musky bait
