Lake Master and HB

    Hi All,

    I’m headed to LOW in Oct. My buddy has the Lake Master LOW chip that he has been running in his iFinderH2Oc. I have a hummingbird 877ci sonar. The chip he has is not compatible with my sonar right? I thought I remembered reading the chips were brand specific. If that is the case I amy have to spring for one. I haven’t got the wife a present in a while anyway

    Buy her an HDS unit and then you can use your buddies chip.

    The HB chips have that depth highlight, shallow water highlight, and depth offset feature… pretty cool!!!!

    Yes,the Lakemaster chip is brand specific. You will also need to update your HB if it was not a new unit that you purchased this year. HB has free software update so older units are able to run new Lakemaster chips.

    Thanks for the heads up on the hb update. I just did an update this spring but will check the hb site again.
