Would like to dump the land line and go with 4 cells. Myself, my bride and two teenage texting daughters. Any ideas?

I like Verizon. It cost 9.95 for each additional line/phone. I’m not sure how much extra texting adds per line. They aren’t the cheapest, but they have great coverage.

US Cellular for our family. We have nation wide calling and unlimited texting because of 2 daughters.
US Cellular also has great coverage and I don’t have a complaint after being with them for 8 years.

I’ve been with US Cellular since 97 and have been relatively happy with them other than getting completely bent over with roaming charges 1 weekend to the tune of 500 bucks.. I dont have a fam plan, so I can’t comment on theirs, but 1 thing is for sure. no matter who you go with, make sure you get unlimited texting.

We just switched over to Verizon. Great coverage in the sticks of the North woods. Great customer service.

Sprint has a nice family plan, if you have the right plan, cell to cell minutes dont count towards your minutes we have something like 2000 minutes I pretty sure we use less than 200 of them since cell to cell is free. The wife and I have 2000 min, unlimited data, text and sprint tv, sprint navigation for $130 a month before discount, verizon was quite a bit more and limits their data to 5 meg (that matter to me I have data heavy months from time to time.) Bang for the buck IMHO Sprint has best and cheapist plans for heavy users. I cant say for sure for phone and text only.

I’ve also for the most part had ok customer service, though I had to spend a little time on the phone discussing problems. Phone service for me has always been excelent.

Make sure you check with the companies to see if the offer any discounts to you based on where you work.

Do you travel much? Make sure you have good coverage in your area. We have a Verizon family plan and my wife gets a 15% discount from her school. 9.95 for each additional line, we have 3 kids who text more than talk. Also all calls to Verizon members are free and you can add 10 numbers from anywhere that will also be free calls.
Sprint has had some good plans lately- had them couple years ago and if went off the interstate would lose coverage. Ask other cell users about coverage not the sales people.
