johnson outboard ?

    got a sweet deal on this Johnson outboard motor (free!)
    model #CD25R SERIAL # J2957705
    I believe it is a twin cylinder 6hp.
    can any one tell me what year it is? gas mix 50:1 ?
    all it needs is plugs and a fuel pump.

    Did you find out what mix to use? I just purchased two Johnson outboards a 1978 15 hp and a 1990 20 hp. I could not find the info on the website link above, short of purchasing a $30 owners manual. Another site I saw said everything Johnson pre 1970 was 24:1 and post 1970 was 50:1. I’m sure there is a savy Johnson owner that has the info for us out there somewhere.
