I think Favre was eyeing that pathetic GB secondary and realized he could have another career year. Heck, 10 TDs in 2 games would pad anyone’s stats.

Any thoughts on Tavaris Jackson moving to the practice squad?

No, I believe he and Sage will now be on the “Injured Reserve” after having the rug pulled out from under them again.

They just said on sportscenter the Pack will be #1 in the division regardless if Brett comes back. We all know how well espn can see into the future…

Injuries will again be key. If the Packs O line is healthy, they’ll be better. If the Vikes secondary can stay virtually injury free, they’ll be solid.

I know the NFL ebbs and flows up and down, often based on strength of schedule, but I just don’t see what the Pack has done to overcome the talent in MN enough to tip those head to head games in their favor.

It’s going to be a great border battle regardless of who wins. I’m just excited for another football season. Regardless is my word of the day…

Think Favre has pretty much turned his back and put the old Packer fans-days behind him. Most likely now will go into the hall as a Viking. Sure, he wants to play-but he did not have to throw all the Packer fans (not talking McCarthy and thompson here) under the bus. He’s old, with that should have come the maturity to have much, much better sensitivity to the fans that built him up–which as Hx recalls-all were Packer fans and NONE were Viking fans. That was disappointing and all in Favre’s control. Think the Queen-Pack game will be pretty mundane now that all the emotion is drained from last year-both will have a good team (vikes had NOTHING w/out number 4, and they KNEW it-why else would they throw extra money at him, allow him cart blanche for coming back and send 3 of their top players down to say PLEAZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE come back, we are nothing without you-smooch, smooch, smooch!)

I only hope he does not get hurt, but he’s staying at the crap table much too long and the house always ends up winning.

I’d be disappointed to see him go to the Hall as a Viking, even if he pulled off a Super Bowl victory this year….or next year…or the year after.

I just hope the Bears can knock the Vikes out of home-field advantage again so Favre gets to play a playoff game somewhere outdoors in January … like Green Bay when its 20 below.

Will Cutler lead the league in interceptions this year?

One correction here. Unlike the Baseball HOF you don’t go into the Football HOF as a member of any team. You just go in as a player. The bust has no identification as does a baseball bust. The only indication of team could be in the picture that is used in programs, outside the stadium, etc. Some players use a uniform photo, some have on a sport shirt, some even in a tie.

Well you signed on for the drama, drama is what you get. Remember Viking fans Favre tried pushing the Packer management around like this also only Packer management didn’t put up with it thus the trade to the Jets. As ugly as it got for Thompson for awhile he was more in the right than old Favre
