I am looking at spray in bedliner product that is do it yourself. The liner material is applied using a roller. Anyone have any experience using a similar product?

    Thanks

I have done both (myself and at the dealer) The one I got at Menards and did myself lasted the life of the pickup that i owned it anyway about 5 years when i traded it in it was still good. I traded it in on on a new truck and paid to ahve it doen that time with line x from the dealer. That truck is now 6 years old and no wear chips etc.. stil good. My experience they both work well, however putting it on myself while not hard was still messy on me. my clothes etc… Granted i amm not the handiest guy around but I was happier paying to ahve it done and saving the jeans, shirt and skin rubbed off my hands by doing it myslef, and yes tehy give you gloves but they will tear or sweat off of you in the first 30 minutes. Good Luck

I used the do it yourself liner (sold at Fleet Farm)on a boat trailer. Holding up well 5 years old now. Tip – use a sponge brush and pat it on rather than trying to paint it on. It will lay in the rubber “grippy stuff” more evenly.

I’m not sure which brand Menard’s sells, but I have done 3 trucks with Herculiner and they all held up great. I would use it again. I currently have a Bedrug, but will be going back to Herculiner next time.
