It is coming down in sheets right now here in Richfield and places south down into Iowa look like they’ve been getting hammered for most of the day. This has definitely been a wet summer… river’s coming back up from the looks of things.

Looks like a good hour of rain around midnight for the La Crosse area. Hoping that everything clears out by 4:30am as I have an appointment with some smallmouth.

I am also hoping they are wrong about the 93% humidity at 5:00am.

Yeah we got a good dousing in Richfield. The bed of my truck has never had that much water in it. I will take pictures in the morning if it does not drain too much. The bed slopes and it it collects mostly at the cab. I’ve seen that about 3″ before and the puddle went about halfway to the gate. Tonight the pool was almost to the gate.

So, we officially over the drought now?

Radar hasn’t changedb much sinceb your post. Looks like we have a train affect going all night.

Only 2″ in St Croix Beach this morning. I sorta slept through all the noise although the dogs didn’t care for it too much.

Hang on Herb and Joshbjork…it’s coming your way soon!

I’ve got an old wheelbarrow thats deeper then the shallower ones and it was emptied about a week ago and its full now, I’m sure it was running over the top with last nights rain. It started raining about 2 this moring and stopped around 6. I left the rain we have been getting in it just to see how much we are getting. In the last five days it went from about 2″ in the bottom to over flowing last night and it was a couple inches from the top and the wheelbarrows about 12″ deep. The forcast is for 91 and high humdity with heat indecies of 105, hooray. Even the ducks and geese are sitting in the shade and faning themselves, Its hot! The beginning of next week its supposed to cool down to 77 as the high, atleast that will be a little more comfortable. The grounds so saturated that theres been water sitting everywhere.

In my travels across Mn and SD lately, it’s amazing the amount of water we have sitting around. I can remember as a kid some of these places in SD with standing water. But that was 30 years ago and they have been dry since. Now it’s back again. The town of Aberdeen has a nice odor to it currently do to all the stagnant water sitting around town. As the vegetation dies and the water spoils, it’s putting off a nice aroma. I guess it’s better than being to dry.

Just think about how big all those fish are getting in the rivers this year. I know a lot of folks who haven’t spent a whole lot of time fishing this year due to high water.

The River Graph looks as if the back channel is good to go for awhile. The Tremble really started dumping water at about 10 this morning.

Seen on the 10:00 news about all the water in Ames washing down the streets, the streets were like rivers.
