Cheap Sonar?

So my office mate and I are really busy here at work, he asked me about a good cheap sonar? He’s been using a 20+ year old Eagle and he chopped the transducer last weekend, I’m trying to convince him to just replace the whole unit and quit looking for a transducer only. Nothing fancy, he just wants bottom and a fish or two. Thanks!

i think that is a GREAT unit for the money. i ran one on my console for a few years, until i upgraded to an HDS unit. and now run the 480 on the bow.

make sure to check prices at Reeds before you buy one, they seem to always be cheaper, and then print out the page, and bring it with to gander or wherever, so they will match the price.

I mean really cheap! Anything in the sub $200 range? I’ll point him toward the classifieds too.

I already gave him one of my blaze orange clip on ice fishing wieghts!

Have him get a flasher kill to birds with one stone.

I just picked up a used Lx5 for ice. tossing around the idea of putting it in the front of my boat on my trolling motor for summer.

I ran my LX3 for a couple years, works great, upgraded my graph in dash, so I had a 337 to put up front, nearly as fast with the GPS and a lakechip, short of that the LX3 was great, I’ll probably go back to it shortly…

The only thing is my Minn Kota doesn’t have a universal sonar for a Marcum, but actually the ice ducer if the cord is long enough works as good, if not better.

The eagle fishmark 320 is cheaper than the 480 and still a very good unit. Under $200 as well.
