I want to take the wife somewhere this winter to get away. Weve been to Jamaica and to Mexico. We enjoyed Jamaica, Mexico was just ok. I would say the food was the biggest letdown in Mexico, everything was so bland it was like eating a steak with no seasoning. Anyone have any all-inclusive resorts reccomendations?

I would really like to mix some fishing in on this trip too.

Go to Hawaii. Costs are comparable. Fishing available.

Funny you ask.. I’ve been to Jamaica 2 times and Mexico once. I will never go back to Mexico. And it wasn’t because of a bad experience or anything. Jamaica is just that much cooler of a place. Hands down. The first time I was on spring break and stayed at Merrils Beach Resort. Not bad for a 22 year old.

Then , on the honeymoon we stayed at Sandals. Very nice, very clean, great food (all kinds, had an american bar open 24-7, italian, local, etc.. Nice swim up bar, all the outdoors stuff you can handle,, snorkel , scuba, beer cruise..etc.

It’s a no doubter to me,, Jamaica. (if ur deciding between the two).

CABO or Belize – if you really want good fishing.

I dont know where you went in Mexico, but I swear by Cabo San Lucas. The fishing is great, food is wonderful, and its a romantic setting for a couple. I dont know about All inclusive deals as I have a timeshare there. I will say this: the flights from MN are expensive and if you are not going all inclusive food and drink are spendy as well, but it is still my favorite destination to combine fishing and a tropical vacation with the better half.
