Best comment on the NFL.com story.
“We all knew this day was going to come. We just didn’t think it would happen three times.”

My guess is he will un-retire just in time for the Detroit game. He’s older now. He can’t just skip training camp and the preseason, he also needs to skip the game where he’d have to face a team that almost killed him last year.

He will be with the Vikings By August 23rd. Ol #4 hasn’t been in the spot light enough lately. Now ESPN will be Favre 24/7.

My guess is its just drama, I think he will be back. But if he is not that just means the vikings fans will complain about something and will be back to being horrible again.

nobody has heard that he is retiring directly from farve. Just some text to players that this may be it because of ankle. He will be back, again.

I’ve been watching ESPN for the last half hour, and there hasn’t been anything but Favre.

I agree with tomr It sounds to like its a rumor. Rosenfels and Favre spoke by phone before Vikings practice and Rosenfels didn’t hear anything about retierment. And Chilly hasn’t heard anthing from Favre himself

Queens have a QB in camp—by the name of T-Jack. No reason to sign anyone else with that kind of talent lying around.

just like he was “done” on July 31st last year. only to be on a plane, and attending afternoon practice two weeks later…

until favre signs the retirement papers, or the season starts without him, i don’t buy it.

I’m not even sure if the season starts it will confirm it. He may come back in a couple years….Likely the Vikes will still be Qbless.

Well. I agree with most of you on this.

One thing I do know is that this dude from the StarTrib BETTER be right! His _ _ _ is on the line here.

That said, Favre will be back.. I will say what I said last year. If he’s not here by week 6, then I will believe that he’s done. We’ll see i guess.

BORING????!!! I don’t think so!!!! Just think of all the T-Jack jokes and criticism from Queens fans that will be flying around.

The guy just needs to quit talking to the media. That would be difficult to handle having a hundred reporters asking you everyday all day “Hey Brett what are you going to do”

I got hold of his texts.

“Leak that I am retiring. Lets mess with the press. Ima poet LOLz. See you in a few weeks. Don’t work too hard, LOL”.

“Tell TJack bite me and have fun with the saints week 1”.

So I’m not the only one thinking this. I was more thinking along the line of “I wonder how fast ESPN can get Ed Wurter to Hattiesburg? Ready, Go.” or “This will be great. Tell PA I’m retiring. Have the defibrillator handy.”

I guess it adds to the fun of the preseason.
