Bearded Dragons

Was thinking of a pet for the daughter, and don’t want the common cat or dog that she already has had. I read that these are pretty easy, and tame pets. Has anyone ever had any experience with them?

My buddy had one. They produce a wicked stank if you don’t keep the cage clean. I had a big red leg tarantula as a pet in college. I used to walk down the hall of my dorm with it on my shoulder and freak people out. They make good pets.
