I don’t expect people to be experts at loading and launching but let’s have some courtesy for one and other.

I do! Know what you are doing and know boat landing etiquette or stay home!

If it wasn’t for boat ramps and D-Bags. I wouldn’t get into fights anymore.

Or………….the city could build a huge ramp / parking lot and sell season passes at $100.00 a launch or a daily pass at $15.00 a launch.

    …AND Stadium Seating!!

B.K. When I first read this I thought you were taking at shot. Then after thinking about it I realized you were serious! I can see it now…………stadium seating full of fans, cheering and heckling the people as they launch their boats. Cheering the guys who actually prep their boats in the parking lot. Heckling mom as she attempts………6 times, to back the trailer in. Taunting little Johnny for making dad return to the porta-potty 5 minutes after launching.

You sir, are miles ahead of us mear mortals. Great idea!!

I would rather think that I was just taking a shot.

I almost always go to a private launch site and pay the fee.
Less headaches that way, there is uaslly someone there to keep everyone in line, and assist those who need it.

there’s a reason public areas are free…… plus, I feel safer leaving my rig and stuff in a private lot as opposed to a public

In the ideal world, I would have my own boat launch on the Croix .

Since that ain’t gonna happen, and I get to pay over 4K in property taxes to live in the city of Hudson, I’ll continue to try and launch at the city of Hudson launch for 3.00 per time.

I normally don’t get out on the Croix much on weekends during the hot summer months. I knew it would be busy, but it was incredible this past Sunday.

It probably really upsets you then when you see people from Minnesota parked in the designated Hudson resident’s only parking spaces.

I don’t do it as I am there early enough to get one of the first spots. I just don’t understand why Hudson doesn’t enforce their regulations and ticket or tow people for that, or for people who park overnight. They might as well take the signs down.

The ramps in town here are a zoo on the weekends too. I found switching to night fishing solved the problem and I usually get a spot right up front where some pleasure boater left at suppertime…and the fish bite better here at night and you don’t get a sunburn.

it does get frustrating. like I said I don’t fish out there on weekends much. lots easier and less hassle to go during the week! those tuna boats throw my little tin 17’er around pretty good out there.

Don’t feel to bad guys,,Here in Charleston SC, we have NOT had a new boat ramp built in over 40 years! AND we only have about 6 in the entire county! You don’t know what crowded is. I could set here and tell you stories until my fingers fall off!
I WILL NOT take a charter on the big weekends like 4th of July and Memorial day……NO WAY!
